About the role
We are currently looking for a Senior Child Rights Governance Advisor to join our team. As the Senior Child Rights Governance Advisor, you will generally be deployed across the organization requests ranging from business development through to project design, research, monitoring and evaluation support, trouble-shooting implementation challenges, quality assurance and partner and donor engagement.
You will bring to the role experience in working with and supporting local partners in the principles, practices and policy priorities related to human rights and governance. You will demonstrate an ability to influence change at an operational and strategic level and to write clear and well-argued assessment and project reports as well as capacity building and in strengthening various duty bearers understanding of and response to human rights and governance related topics.
Proficiency in English and working knowledge of a second language – French, Spanish, or Arabic (with French and Spanish especially desirable) is a must.

The Global Expertise and Humanitarian Surge Platform (GEHSP) is Save the Children's global humanitarian surge, technical expertise and new business development deployment management function, operating on behalf of both members and SCI. Roving Technical Experts
Roving Technical Expert (TE) roles will be rapidly deployed by the GEHSP across the movement to cover critical technical gaps and deliver technical excellence to drive impact for children. They will provide dedicated support that is available to deploy regularly and flexibly depending on the requests received on the GEHSP. The main responsibilities of this post will vary according to the terms of reference for each assignment.
