Team and Role Purpose

At Save the Children International, our people are at the heart of everything we do. The Global Internal Communications Unit helps connect more than 25,000 colleagues across 110 countries to our shared mission: improving children’s lives around the world.

We create clear, engaging and human communications that help colleagues understand where we are heading, feel connected to our impact, and see the important role they play in delivering change for children. From bringing our Global Strategy to life and sharing powerful stories from across our movement, to communicating during major humanitarian emergencies and moments of change, we help colleagues feel informed, supported and inspired.

Working closely with Country Offices, Members and teams across SCI, we deliver both strategic and reactive communications that strengthen connection, collaboration and trust across our global organisation.

Supporting the Global Internal Communications Unit, you will create and deliver compelling content and stories, manage key internal channels including our weekly global newsletter, and help bring important organisational updates to life in ways that are clear, engaging and accessible.

You will also help shape interactive and inclusive communications and events for our remote-first workforce, using digital tools and creative approaches to encourage conversation and participation across teams and regions.

This role sits within a small, collaborative Global Internal Communications Unit as part of the CEO Office. Together, we work to deliver communications that make colleagues feel informed, valued, motivated and proud to be part of Save the Children. We also support senior leaders, including the CEO, to communicate with authenticity, visibility and impact, helping to build trust and strengthen connection across our movement.
