Specialist, People Project Delivery

Save the Children International has an exciting opportunity for a Specialist, People Project Delivery to join our global team. 

 

Team Purpose 

The role sits in the People Initiatives and Insights team, part of the wider People and Organisation Effectiveness department, whose purpose is to align People strategy with delivery - integrating workforce planning, total reward, HR transformation, engagement and wellbeing and employee relations - to create a fair, high‑performing, and future‑ready organisation. 

 

Role purpose 

Enable the organisation to deliver its People Strategy by driving effective planning, performance and compliance across our strategic People initiatives. Maintain accurate, self-service content on internal platforms to improve user experience, track audit and budget performance to safeguard resources, and manage projects that strengthen our global people priorities, such as the development of our Employee Value Proposition and Strategic Workforce Planning cycles.

Principal Accountabilities 

  • Drive Strategic People Initiatives: Project manage high-impact People team initiatives. Drive the delivery of initiatives on time, to scope and to budget. 
  • Embed Project Management methodology and ways of working: Support the People SMT to ensure accountability and measurable outcomes across key People initiatives, using right-sized project management best practices, tools and controls.  
  • Be a key contributor to key People priorities: Conduct research, prepare and update decks, decision papers and training materials. 
  • Enable Self-Service and Improve Access: Own and maintain People team content on internal platforms (SCI’s Quality Framework & OneNet) to ensure accurate, up-to-date information that empowers employees to self-serve and reduces dependency on individualised support. 
  • Develop and own comms to SCI Country Offices: Improve coordination by producing a regular update to Country Office HR focal points, bringing together updates on People initiatives, upcoming requests for inputs, milestones, etc. 
  • Strengthen Governance and Compliance: Monitor and track audit actions and budget performance to ensure compliance and provide accurate reporting that supports informed decision-making. 

 

Experience and Skills 

 

Essential 

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities, delivering outcomes on time and within scope. 
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and holding senior stakeholders accountable for delivery. 
  • Ability to manage and maintain internal documentation and content platforms (e.g., Quality Framework & OneNet), ensuring accuracy and enabling self-service functionality. 
  • Ability to analyse data, monitor milestones, and produce actionable insights to inform decision-making. 
  • Understanding of strategic workforce planning principles and ability to develop templates, toolkits, and reporting frameworks. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and influence stakeholders. 
  • Skilled at building collaborative relationships across teams and geographies. 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to improving customer service. 

Desirable 

  • Project management certification (PRINCE2, PMI-PMP, APM-PMQ, Agile, etc)

Our Recruitment Process

  4. If successful, you will receive a conditional offer of employment, followed by your contract subject to passing background checks
