Save the Children International has an exciting opportunity for a Specialist, Talent to join our global team.

Team & Role Purpose

To develop and implement innovative talent and learning strategies that attract, retain and develop diverse talent in alignment with the organisation’s strategic objectives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and inclusivity while ensuring compliance with organisational policies and principles of equity. By overseeing global talent management, succession planning, performance management, , the team ensures the workforce is engaged and developed to deliver their best and organisational growth. Through evaluating the effectiveness of these programmes, the team drives continuous improvement, equipping all employees with the skills and knowledge necessary to contribute to an inclusive and supportive workplace.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive talent methodology and performance management processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of global and country teams.
  • Collaborate with People Partners to ensure the embedding and execution of talent and performance management processes across the organisation.
  • Create and maintain accessible performance support materials to facilitate continuous learning and development.
  • Generate and analyse talent data insights to drive the ongoing talent strategy and decision-making processes.
  • Champion Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives by integrating these values into all talent development and performance management practices.
  • Foster an inclusive work environment by providing management and teams with the necessary tools, resources, and training to support professional growth and development

 

Experience and Skills

Essential

  1. Significant experience Talent Attraction, Selection and Development Methodology: Strong knowledge in designing, implementing, and assessing talent methodologies across a global organisation.
  2. Significant experience Performance Management: Proficiency in developing effective performance management processes that align with the organisation's goals and values. Aware of industry trends and best practices in a similarly complex organisational environment.
  3. Significant experience in working with stakeholders to drive and embed the talent agenda.
  4. Data Analysis: Ability to generate and analyse talent data. Proven experience in analysing talent data insights to inform and drive talent strategy and decision-making.
  5. Communication and collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships within a diverse team and across different cultures.
  6. Adaptability and Innovation: Demonstrates creativity in problem-solving and willingness to integrate new solutions and technologies.
  7. Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  8. Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS), talent management software, and performance management tools; familiarity with data visualization tools is an advantage.
  9. Experience in developing and implementing talent development and performance management strategies in different contexts
  10. Significant experience in championing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives within talent development practices, fostering an inclusive work environment.

Our recruitment process:
